AUBERGE presents the Black Alpaca Ortega Cross Short Jacket "TUCSON" (AU26A10-B), made in Japan. This piece is inspired by a duffle jacket released by a certain brand in the late 80s, crafted from Ortega cross fabric using black alpaca.
It features the softness and drape characteristic of animal hair materials, creating a silhouette that follows the body gently without spreading too wide. It pairs well with the drop shoulder design, offering a relaxed fit with a natural volume. The garment feels light on the body, and the movement of the fabric as you walk is a key appeal. It allows you to enjoy a loose silhouette while maintaining an elegant and luxurious atmosphere.
The raw material is alpaca wool grown in the harsh natural environment of the high Andes Mountains. Alpaca fiber has excellent heat retention, a natural luster, and a unique smooth texture. The fabric is undyed, using the natural black color of the raw alpaca wool, resulting in natural color variations and depth.
Targeting the native rugs used for Chimayo vests, the warp uses undyed thick linen yarn. The weft uses a six-ply alpaca yarn, with undyed wool yarn inserted between these threads to enhance physical stability and density. Although the actual weight of the fabric is quite heavy, its unique texture and firmness make it feel lighter than it looks, resulting in an incomparable, unique quality.
