ANDERSEN-ANDERSEN was established in 2009 with the goal of preserving the traditional Danish knitting culture. This is an authentic, simple, and ultimate crew neck sweater.
It is crafted using a sophisticated, classic manufacturing process. Rather than a simple construction where separately knitted parts are joined on the reverse side, it is knitted in one piece while changing the knitting method and direction, ignoring production costs. The fabric is made of high-quality Italian-spun merino wool, knitted in a heavy 5-gauge stitch, giving it a substantial yet elegant texture. It is quite heavy, weighing over 1.0kg in total, offering a rugged and masculine appeal despite its delicate construction.
The design is identical on the front and back, allowing it to be worn either way. This design was created so that busy sailors could put it on quickly, similar to vintage navy sweaters. It likely has its roots in the Guernsey sweater, which is said to be the prototype for various fisherman sweaters.
This is the new color for 26AW, GREEN.
