Established in 2009 with the desire to preserve the traditional knitting culture of the maritime nation of Denmark, ANDERSEN-ANDERSEN is an authentic knitwear brand. Introducing an ultimate, simple crew neck sweater with no waste.

Made using a classic and advanced manufacturing method, it is not a simple construction where separately knitted parts are connected on the back side, but rather a cost-defying process of knitting all at once while changing the knitting method and direction. The fabric is made of high-quality merino wool from Italian spinning, heavily and coarsely knitted at 5 gauge, which stands out with its heavy yet elegant texture.

It is quite heavy, with a total weight of over 1.0kg. Despite its delicate construction, its traditional, rugged, and masculine finish is attractive. Also, because the front and back designs are identical, it can be worn without distinguishing the front from the back. This design was made so that busy sailors could put it on quickly, similar to old navy sweaters. It likely has its roots in the Guernsey sweater, said to be the prototype of various fisherman sweaters.
