Hello.
This is Nukui from andPheb.
Our autumn and winter items are now well-stocked.
This time, I will introduce three stylings using a double-breasted jacket.
Among tailored jackets, the double-breasted style is a bit special. With features like peak lapels, a wide overlap, and buttons arranged on both sides, it has more visual impact than a single-breasted one, giving your outfit a solid presence just by throwing it on.
While it is a design deeply rooted in suits and formal attire, it is also fun to enjoy that classic vibe more freely these days.
You can keep it neat by pairing it with shirts and slacks, or create a nice sense of ease in a formal look by using a clean cut-and-sew or sweatshirt as an inner layer. Layering a denim jacket like a shirt or pairing it with casual pants are also great options. Because the jacket itself has such presence, it is easy to change the impression depending on what you pair it with, allowing for a wider range of outfits than you might think.
I will introduce ways to enjoy the double-breasted jacket that fit today's mood, beyond just wearing it formally.
Speaking of double-breasted jackets, they are originally one of the traditional details of tailoring. Many people associate them with a heavy, formal impression, often worn properly in suit styles.
On the other hand, I recommend wearing them more freely while utilizing that classic vibe. For example, pair it with a clean sweatshirt or cut-and-sew underneath. It adds a nice sense of ease and softness to the structured jacket, resulting in a relaxed look while maintaining elegance.
The look changes depending on the pants and shoes you pair it with, and the ability to enjoy it in a wide range from casual to dressy is also its charm.
This time, I have put together three stylings that are typical of andPheb, with that double-breasted jacket as the main piece.
Please use these as a reference for your own outfits.

A styling that features the AXIS double-breasted jacket as the main piece, incorporating an orSlow denim jacket as a substitute for a shirt.
AXIS double-breasted jacket. A one-size-fits-all unisex silhouette. It has a loose boxy silhouette in body width and shoulder width. The gorge line is set low, and it features a center vent in the back.
The moleskin is attractive for its soft and smooth comfort from the start. The needle-punched moleskin has a soft brushed feel on the surface, offering a different look from typical tailored jackets. While it has the classic vibe unique to double-breasted styles, the texture of the fabric makes it a piece you can wear with ease. The solid combination with metal buttons is also fresh. It makes even American casual inner layers look somewhat modern.
This time, I layered a denim jacket inside the jacket. By daring to use a denim jacket, which is usually thought of as an outer layer, like a shirt, the unique texture of denim is added to the collar and front, creating a moderate casualness to the jacket style.
For the bottoms, I paired it with wide trousers from INTERIM, accented with leather piping. It has a masculine look with a wide silhouette in both the front and back, tapering down. It is a styling that utilizes the elegance of the jacket while adding variety through the combination of materials. This time, I paired it with the popular persimmon tannin dye; the beautiful light brown dye expression matches the soft expression of the moleskin.
It is not just about wearing a double-breasted jacket formally, but also dressing it down by how you choose your inner layers. It is also interesting to combine items rooted in rugged workwear or military styles.

I paired an INTERIM double-breasted jacket with a BATONER crew-neck knit. For pants, I chose NEEDLES H.D. Pants. The jacket and knit are unified in charcoal. By keeping the tops in the same color family, the luster of the wool and the expression of each material stand out.
The INTERIM double-breasted jacket is a lightweight, single-layer construction. While it has room in the body and arms, the length is slightly neat. It has the classic vibe unique to double-breasted styles, but the balance makes it easy to throw on without feeling pressured.
The beautiful, lustrous fabric is a light flannel made from SUPER 120’S worsted wool. It has a soft fullness, and a beautiful sheen emerges on the surface whenever you move. It is a fabric where you can clearly feel the elegance of wool, but combined with the lightweight tailoring, it does not feel stiff.
The piping on the pocket openings made from DEADSTOCK leather and the buffalo buttons are also nice accents. These fine details add depth to a simple jacket.
For the bottoms, I chose the NEEDLES 6-pocket H.D. Cargo Pants. It is a piece that combines a military-inspired design based on BDU pants with the H.D. silhouette, which is characterized by its significant volume. The cargo pockets on the sides further accentuate the volume, and combined with the olive color, it has a rugged presence.
The key to this look is combining such military elements with a wool jacket that has an elegant sheen. The color combination of charcoal and olive is also natural, keeping the refinement of the top while finishing the overall look with a loose balance.
Precisely because it is a clean-cut jacket, I decided to go all out with the bottoms. It is enjoyable to see the contrast between the high-quality material and the impactful silhouette unique to the H.D. pants.

A styling that pairs an ULTERIOR double jacket with a FilMelange sweatshirt.
I paired the brown jacket with a deep red sweatshirt. The combination of muted brown and heavy red blends well, creating a simple yet memorable color scheme. Instead of styling it neatly with a shirt, pairing it casually with a sweatshirt gives the classic atmosphere of the double jacket a moderately rough impression.
The ULTERIOR jacket features a herringbone fabric made of silk and wool. The smooth touch and natural luster unique to silk-wool are attractive, and despite the classic pattern, it has an elegant look that doesn't appear too heavy. Combined with the relaxed silhouette, it is a piece that doesn't look too formal and is easy to incorporate into everyday styling.
The inner FilMelange is a raglan-sleeve crewneck sweatshirt. The soft texture of the sweatshirt and the red peeking out from the neckline add a sense of approachability to the jacket style.
For the pants, I matched them with GURANK's distressed painter pants. They have a wide silhouette and a faded look as if they have been worn for a long time. The rough and rugged atmosphere, which contrasts with the smooth fabric of the jacket, is the appeal.
An elegant jacket with a sweatshirt and painter pants. While keeping the colors muted, I created variety through differences in materials and processing. Just throw on a jacket over your usual style. It is versatile enough that I want you to incorporate it that easily.

Instead of wearing classic items neatly as they are, combine them with casual items or textures like vintage clothing to dress them down in your own way. This is a styling that allows you to feel the depth of a double jacket.
