Based on a masterpiece of 1950s French military trousers, this piece features subtle updates characteristic of INTERIM. It features a 1-tuck design with a slightly wider rise and hip area, tapering gently toward the hem. The silhouette is modern, offering a beautiful drape and full-length fit while maintaining a balanced volume.

Details are carefully selected from European military trousers, primarily French designs. It includes inverted trapezoidal belt loops that require skilled craftsmanship and back pockets with loops. The top edge of the waistband and the pocket welts are finished with custom-made leather piping, adding a touch of class to the functional military aesthetic.

The fabric is a Katsuragi weave made from organic cotton, using high-twist yarns densely woven in both warp and weft, then dyed with natural pigments. Available in Sumi (charcoal) and Kakishibu (persimmon tannin) dyes.

Sumi dye uses charcoal, traditionally used as fuel, which offers potential benefits such as heat retention, moisture control, and antibacterial properties. Kakishibu dye is a traditional Japanese natural dye made from fermented unripe persimmon juice, used for over a thousand years. It provides excellent antibacterial, antiseptic, and insect-repellent properties while increasing fabric durability.
