A new crew neck sweater for the 26AW season. It uses undyed wool from the Taranui farm in South Canterbury, New Zealand, a farm known for its commitment to environmental and animal welfare, and whose wool is supplied to luxury brands.
The material is characterized by its spongy elasticity, volume, and lightweight, soft texture due to the air it traps. The wool is sorted by its natural colors—ranging from off-white and beige to brown and dark brown—and spun into yarn without any dyeing. This sweater is crafted by combining seven different shades of this undyed wool.
The heathered brown section on the front is made by twisting all seven colors together. Because the yarn is at the limit of what the machine can handle, the knit is dense and has a substantial, firm feel. We named it "Seven colors wool" with the hope that it leaves a lasting impression, like "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" or "Seven Golden Men."
This is the crew neck model. By utilizing the seven undyed colors, we created three types of yarn with different heathered combinations, which are then joined using intarsia to create a graphic pattern. The expression changes depending on the yarn count, material, and gauge. Wearing these seven colors of sheep provides excellent warmth.
