Hello.
This is Nukui from andPheb.

GUIDI boots arrived from Italy last week.
They have been very well received in the store.
A dream pair of shoes.
When it comes time to choose, it's hard to decide on the model and size, isn't it?
They are by no means cheap, but that is exactly why I want to choose carefully and make them my own.
I hope you will come to the store to see the texture of the leather, which cannot be fully conveyed in photos, and the atmosphere when actually worn.
Today, I tried on the 796V, which features Norwegian construction and a lug sole.
I paired them with my favorite TENDER Co. denim.
Pairing denim with voluminous boots.
It's a simple combination, but by adding the unique presence of GUIDI leather, your usual denim style will look completely different.
I'm also looking forward to how the leather's expression changes as I break them in.
These are boots I want to keep for a long time, including how they will grow on my feet, not just in their new state.
GUIDI boots have different leather textures and silhouettes depending on the model.
Please come to the store to try them on and find your favorite pair.
Now, let's get started.

GUIDI
HORSE FULL GRAIN BACK ZIP BOOTS Vibram SOLE
(796V)
MADE IN ITALY
¥262,900 (tax included)
The 796V is a voluminous back-zip boot.
The upper is made of horse full-grain leather, which combines luster, toughness, and suppleness. It features a back-zip design and a rear-leaning shaft, and as you wear them, wrinkles will form that follow your feet.
The sole uses a Vibram lug sole. The Norwegian construction, which creates a rugged look, and the double stitching on the upper are also key points.
The 'object tumbler dyeing' process, which involves tumbling after molding, creates natural unevenness, wrinkles, and small scratches, which is also part of the charm. You can enjoy the changing expression of the leather as you wear them.

First, the front side.
The 796V is available in two types: full-grain leather (front leather) and reverse leather (back leather).
I am wearing the model using horse full-grain leather, which is a classic GUIDI material.
A distinctive feature is the 'object tumbler dyeing' method, where the leather is tumbled after being molded into the shape of the shoe. It is soft from the start and features natural wrinkles and small scratches.
Even though they are new, they have a deep expression as if they have been worn for a long time. You can feel a unique aura even before you start wearing them.
And the shaft that flows toward the back. The stance is also attractive.
Repeated wear causes the shaft to warp forward, and the thick horse leather gradually develops wrinkles.

I tried them on.
Let's actually put my feet in.
I usually wear 27.5cm shoes, and this time I chose 41H.
The size is just right. When I put my feet in, contrary to the heavy look, the leather feels soft and conforms to my feet.
When people think of GUIDI boots, they focus on the unique presence and rugged look, but when you actually wear them, they are surprisingly smooth to put on.
The size depends on your preference, but personally, I felt it would also be good to go up one size and wear them with a little more room.
Now, let's close the back zip.

Closing the zip.
A combination of a glossy zip and beautiful horse full-grain leather.
The EXCELLA back zip moves smoothly. Even the act of slowly pulling up the zip feels cool.
Since it's a back-zip design, you just put your foot in and pull up the zip. The ease of putting them on and taking them off is also a charm.
They are much easier to wear than you would imagine from their heavy appearance.
This is also a charm I felt when I actually put my feet in.

First, the look when worn.
I'm still sitting, but the smooth leather on the front that follows the shape of the foot is just cool.
I feel almost no tightness or pain, and contrary to the heavy appearance, the feel on the foot is soft.
The two stitches from the Norwegian construction on the toe catch my eye. Combined with the expression of the leather, I can't help but admire them.

Let's stand up.
When you stand up, loose, natural wrinkles form from the ankle up.
I usually wear American boots, but this has a different charm. Compared to the voluminous sole, the overall impression is minimal and clean. The toe also has no unnecessary decoration, finished in a beautiful form that wraps the foot in a single piece of leather.
And the back silhouette is too cool.
The zip on the heel and the double stitching on the heel. Because of the simple construction, each detail and the expression of the leather stand out. It's a back view that doesn't assert itself too much, yet exudes a quiet aura.
With a tank sole about 3cm thick, my line of sight is a little higher. My height is naturally boosted, and somehow my mood is refreshed.

TENDER Co.
RINSE DENIM 136 OXFORD
(LOT136-RINSE)
¥92,400 (tax included)
174cm70kg SIZE:5
Pairing with my favorite denim.
If I'm going to wear GUIDI, I want to try a rugged and heavy combination with TENDER Co. I've been thinking about that for a long time, so this time I paired them with the extra-wide silhouette model 136.
The heavily double-hemmed cuffs have quite a presence even with just the denim. Even so, the GUIDI boots don't lose out and blend right into my feet.
It's a rugged combination, but it somehow comes together cleanly. I can't get enough of this balance.
After all, it's fun to pair your favorite clothes with your favorite shoes.
Just this alone makes my mood soar more than double.
Next is the suede model.
The atmosphere changes completely.

GUIDI
HORSE REVERSE BACK ZIP BOOTS Vibram SOLE
(796V-R)
MADE IN ITALY
¥262,900 (tax included)
The 796V-R is a voluminous back-zip boot.
The upper is made of horse reverse leather (suede), which features moderate firmness, a three-dimensional brushed texture, and suppleness. It features a back zip design and a rear-leaning shaft, creating wrinkles that conform to your feet the more you wear them.
The sole uses a Vibram tank sole. The rugged look created by the Norwegian welt construction and the double stitching on the upper are also key highlights.
The 'Object Tumbler Dyeing' process, where the shoes are tumbled after molding, creates natural unevenness and wrinkles in the leather, which is another appealing aspect. You can enjoy the changing expression of the suede as you break them in.

An aura different from smooth leather.
Horse reverse leather, which radiates an aura distinct from smooth leather.
A deep black that feels sensual amidst its ruggedness. While it has a soft expression due to the brushing, the color has a firm, solid depth. At the same time, when placed on your feet, it also carries a certain expansive presence.
It is a suede unique to GUIDI, where ruggedness and sensuality coexist.

Norwegian Welt Construction
One of the details that characterizes GUIDI boots is the Norwegian welt construction.
It is a type of construction that joins the upper and the sole, characterized by a structure where the edge of the upper is flared outward and sewn together via a welt. The stitching running along the edge of the shoe creates a unique, rugged look.
Not only does it serve as a visual accent, but the robust construction that firmly secures the upper and sole is also appealing. It pairs well with the voluminous Vibram tank sole, emphasizing the heavy, substantial feel of the boots.
Particularly eye-catching are the two rows of stitching running around the sole. It is a detail that shows careful craftsmanship despite its rugged appearance.
The rugged yet deep expression of the horse reverse leather and the powerful sole area created by the Norwegian welt construction. This combination creates the unique presence that is distinctly GUIDI.

TENDER Co.
RINSE DENIM 136 OXFORD
(LOT136-RINSE)
¥92,400 including tax
174cm70kg SIZE:5
I choose the MAX size for TENDER Co. denim, cinch it tightly with a belt, and wear it high-waisted.
Voluminous denim paired with GUIDI horse reverse leather. The brushed suede texture naturally blends into the ruggedness of the denim, resulting in a deep, sophisticated look for your feet that is different from smooth leather.
Because there is no unnecessary decoration on the front, the texture of the material and the silhouette stand out. The Vibram tank sole also provides reliable grip, offering not just style but solid practicality.
This is a pair you'll want to wear regardless of the weather or season. Before you know it, you'll find yourself reaching for them constantly.

The glossy sensuality of smooth leather is hard to give up, but the rugged yet deep expression of suede is also great.
Even with the same model, the impression changes so much just by changing the material. Both have their own merits, making it hard to decide.
If you're pairing them with denim, both are undoubtedly cool. Thinking about how they will look after being worn in makes it even more of a dilemma.
So, which one would you choose? I think I'll ponder a little longer...
How was it?
GUIDI boots, where smooth leather and suede each have their own distinct charm. I hope I have been able to convey even a little of their appeal, from the texture of the materials and fine details to the atmosphere when actually worn.
It's certainly not an easy decision to make, but that's exactly why the time spent agonizing over it is so enjoyable.
Please come to the store to try them on and find your favorite pair.
We look forward to your visit.
