【AUBERGE】
Auberge originates from 18th-century France, referring to an inn where one can enjoy fine dining and stay overnight. It represents a French way of enjoying a vacation, accompanied by beautiful scenery, seasonal mountain and sea ingredients, and local game. The proposed style is based on vintage pieces from the 1930s and 1940s. The items created from this are everyday yet comfortable—not too old, and not too new. Ingredients (textiles) born from ideas and experience are expressed as the 'luxury' envisioned through meticulous preparation and cooking (sewing). Clothing is something created by human hands, and we value that handmade atmosphere above all else. Please enjoy the process and the moment of creation at AUBERGE.

Champagne Gold Mohair Ortega Cross Vest “ORTEGA”

A new vest from AUBERGE.
It uses rare, undyed natural champagne gold mohair from South Africa, spun in a unique way. Because it is a natural color derived from the raw wool, there are variations in shade between lots, a natural color fluctuation that cannot be achieved through dyeing. The fineness is 34/36μ, providing a unique texture with the firmness and strong resilience characteristic of thick yarns.
Targeting the native rugs used for Chimayo vests, the warp uses undyed thick linen yarn. The weft uses a 6-ply yarn of the aforementioned mohair. By sandwiching wool yarn (also undyed) between these threads, we have increased physical stability and density. Although the actual weight is quite heavy, the unique texture and firmness make it feel lighter than it looks, resulting in an indescribable, unique quality.
Vintage Ortega vests often have narrow shoulders and a short length, which can lead to a dated fit if worn as is. Therefore, considering layering with various items, we have completed our own modern version of the Ortega vest. We mainly widened the shoulders and finished them with a shoulder slope that softly conforms to the shoulder line. The armholes were also designed to be slightly wider to accommodate various layering styles.

Black Alpaca Ortega Cross Vest “ORTEGA”

It uses alpaca wool raised in the harsh natural environment of the high Andes mountains as a raw material. Alpaca has excellent moisture retention, a natural luster, and a unique slipperiness. This also uses undyed black natural alpaca raw wool spun directly into yarn, resulting in natural color variations and depth. Sand Wash Silk Nylon Taffeta Padded Jacket “CARDIFF”

A new padded jacket from AUBERGE.
It is made from a special high-density silk x nylon taffeta fabric that has been dyed and then subjected to a special sand wash process in Kyoto. We dared to express an 80s Stone Island-like image using luxurious silk.
The design is rooted in the North Face mountain parka planned in the UK during the 80s, when Gore-Tex first appeared, and has been arranged into a modern balance.
The padding features PrimaLoft, a high-performance material also used by the US military. It is lightweight yet provides excellent heat retention, offering sufficient cold protection as a winter outerwear piece. Furthermore, the collar, cuffs, and pocket edges use calf leather from the prestigious French tannery DUPUY. The contrast of different materials adds a luxurious touch to the sporty design.

Vintage Wash French Herringbone Wide Trousers “SOUTHWARK”

New trousers for AUBERGE's 26AW collection.
We have used a slightly thicker version of the early 20th-century French military herringbone, yarn-dyed with a special, easily fading dye to enhance the product processing effect. Herringbone comes in types where the front and back look the same, or where they look like different weaves; this one features the traditional French style where the back is a different weave.
The shape is a wide baggy trouser. The presence created by the volume and texture of the cotton-linen blend is exquisite. The processed finish is wonderful, and the wide silhouette makes it an easy piece to wear.
