Ripstop fabric, commonly used in military items, is named for its ability to prevent tearing by weaving thick threads into a grid pattern. However, this fabric is unique. The grid pattern is created by changing the weave of the warp threads, while slightly thicker linen threads are used for the weft. The composition is rayon warp, and nylon and linen weft.

As the name suggests, a fisherman smock is a work garment worn by fishermen. Among the various designs from different countries, this piece is inspired by the French fisherman style, reminiscent of a sailor shirt.
