INTERIM 20mm CROSS GRAIN OAK BARK LEATHER BELT IT000563

This belt is crafted in a long-established Japanese factory using high-density, firm butt leather from oak bark leather imported directly from the UK. The leather features a 'cross grain' diamond-shaped embossing inspired by Russian calf, which is further hardened during the finishing process to increase resistance to scratches and marks.

The buckle is a bespoke light-gold coated pipe-wrap style, commonly found on antique British belts. We have also introduced size 6, which is compatible with HB jeans. This 20mm width is the slimmest model, making it perfect for pairing with elegant trousers.

Oak bark leather is made using the oldest existing tanning method, dating back to ancient times. Tanned over a year using tannins extracted from crushed tree bark, the leather is deeply infused with tannins, resulting in a firm, resilient, and highly durable material. Due to the long production time and the decreasing availability of the trees used for tanning agents, its value continues to rise.
