A 1-inch quick release belt made from bridle leather from MARTIN FAIZEY.

Inspired by equipment used by firefighters in the Victorian era (1837–1901), the buckle is designed to be easily unbuckled with a single flick of one hand. While quick release belts are now released by various brands, it is said that Martin Faizey originally developed them together with Daines & Hathaway. Thus, the quick release belt produced under his own namesake brand can truly be called the original.

The leather used is high-quality English bridle leather made from full-grain cowhide. Created through vegetable tanning, dyeing, and then soaking in beeswax for several months, this bridle leather is characterized by the faint white wax (called bloom) on its surface. As you use it, the wax wears off, transforming the leather into a beautifully glossy finish. Furthermore, the thick, firm leather unique to full-grain cowhide is sturdy and exceptionally durable.

The width is a highly versatile 1 inch (approx. 2.4 cm). At MARTIN FAIZEY, products are entirely handmade by a small team of craftsmen at their workshop in Worcestershire, UK.
