orSlow 1st type denim jacket in one wash, 40's PLEATED FRONT BLOUSE DENIM JACKET UNISEX, made in Japan (03-6011-81).

An eternal masterpiece known as the 1st type. orSlow's dedication to properly separating sizes to make a T-back. orSlow faithfully reproduces the single-pocket 1st type produced from 1936 to 1953. The one-wash model, previously custom-ordered at our store, is now a regular lineup item. It faithfully reproduces representative details such as front action pleats, square stitching, a flapped pocket only on the left chest (a detail omitted during WWII), and a cinch back on the lower back.

Of particular note is the "T-back" detail, adopted only in sizes L(3), LL(4), and 3L(5). When producing larger sizes, the width of the denim fabric that could be woven on the looms of that time was insufficient, so two pieces of fabric had to be joined together in the center. It features vertical stitching on the back, and is called a "T-back" due to its appearance. Because it is only used in larger sizes, it boasts enduring popularity even today as a rare detail that creates hardcore collectors. Although modern looms and manufacturing methods allow production without joining, orSlow has deliberately reproduced it out of a strong commitment. Moreover, just like the vintage originals, it is used only in the larger sizes (L, LL, and 3L).

The fabric is orSlow's original 13.5 oz selvage denim. Yarn irregularity, yarn density, fabric thickness, and stiffness are faithfully reproduced from that era. In particular, the density of the indigo dye and the deep shade are unique to one-wash.
