Hello. This is Nukui from andPheb.
Today, I would like to introduce a masterpiece that is essential for your 26AW wardrobe.

This time, I have picked out a cotton-hemp coverall and work pants that have arrived from GURANK.
The material used is GURANK's original Oxford duck, made with thick cotton and hemp yarns. The thick fabric, reminiscent of 60s workwear, has been treated with product sulfur dyeing and bio-processing to create a moderate softness and a shaded look. The random unevenness that appears on the surface is also one of its features. As you wear it, it will develop fading and character, and change into the dry texture unique to hemp.
A coverall that brings to mind French workwear, and a rugged silhouette that reminds one of vintage work pants. At first glance, it is classic workwear, but it has been given GURANK's unique interpretation.
Workwear has an unadorned coolness.
Durable fabric, roomy silhouettes, and details created with functionality in mind. Everything was born from what was necessary for working.
That is why it naturally blends into the wearer's life. It starts off rugged when new, and as you wear it, it changes into something that is uniquely yours.
On work days, and on holidays. Slip it on without fuss and nurture it in your daily life.

With the theme of such "daily workwear," this time it feels good to wear the coverall and work pants as a set-up. It is rugged, but elegant. You can match it with denim, knits, or jackets, and for footwear, you can go with work shoes, or dress it up cleanly with loafers or leather shoes for a twist. I think it is because it is GURANK that you can enjoy it in such versatile ways.

The design source is a 50s French coverall.
While retaining the broad-shouldered silhouette and slim armholes typical of coveralls from that time, GURANK has finished it with a boxy silhouette that has a different kind of impact.
You can enjoy the original as a modern oversized piece by sizing up, but this one has a loose balance from the start. Yet, it has a short length.
It creates a unique presence. I can wear that size with my build, but the right fit is about 3. Considering wearing an ANDERSEN-ANDERSEN knit as an inner layer at the store in winter, I think 4 would also be fine. Still, it is so cool...

The distinctive neck area is also one of the charms of this coverall.
With a neck that drops sharply and a small collar. It has a slightly different balance from general coveralls, making the neck look clean. When paired with a shirt or cut-and-sew, the collar area becomes a nice accent. I want to pair it with a mock neck or turtleneck.
And the puckering that appears throughout the fabric is also a point. By creating natural unevenness at the seams, it does not look flat, and you can firmly feel the expression typical of workwear. It already has a worn-in atmosphere from the state of being new.

The pockets are also practical, as expected of workwear.
There is one small pocket on the left chest. Since the size is not too assertive, the overall balance of the front is clean.
Larger pockets are placed on the left and right at the waist. These have robust stitching with bar tacks, making them reliable for putting things in and using them roughly.
Such details, which are there because they are necessary, are also the coolness of workwear.

There is also one inner pocket inside.
You can smartly store small items like wallets and keys. It is nice that not only the outer pockets but also the inside is well thought out for practicality.

And the paint processing, which is also a point of this coverall.
While making you feel the ruggedness typical of workwear, it is never overdone. The traces of paint here and there add a moderate roughness to the outfit.
The white paint floating on the black body becomes an accent, adding another expression to the simple coverall.
By layering such fine details, it has been finished with a presence unique to GURANK, different from basic coveralls.

This is a pair reconstructed by adding GURANK-like arrangements based on 50s work pants.
First of all, the waist and rise are intentionally set large. By tightening it with a belt, plenty of drapes are created around the waist. The silhouette and impression change depending on how high or low you wear it. It is great that you can adjust it to full length or ankle length depending on the shoes and your mood that day.
It is not just big; this drape is the point of the silhouette. When worn, it creates a three-dimensional effect from the waist to the thighs, giving it a unique presence. Drapes in thick duck fabric. It is great that the wearer himself can enjoy the intense impact the most.
A wide silhouette that is straight and thick to the hem.
Combined with the thick cotton-hemp fabric, the volume when worn is quite significant.
With my build, I can wear any of 34/36/38. My preference is 36. I've been thinking lately that 38 is also good because it gets more comfortable as you tighten it when it's big. It's a shape I love so much that I feel like it's a part of my body. I wore out a 34 last year, so I'm planning to enjoy a different size this year.
I will write down the charm of these pants to the fullest. Let's start from the front.

It also has suspender buttons, and the details are authentically solid.
The point is to tighten the belt loops, which are placed slightly lower, with a belt. The out-tuck comes to life and creates a sense of drape.
The original GURANK engraved buttons are also wonderful.
I don't usually wear suspenders, but I'd like to try them if the mood strikes. It would be fun to buy some at a vintage shop and bring them home.
The front pockets are also excellent.
They are slightly rounded, making it easy to put your hands in. It's a great point that the balance looks cool even when you walk with your hands in your pockets.
Next is the back.

The back pockets are spaced widely apart, and there are tucks on the back panel. The patch pockets are placed extremely far to the outside. The long and narrow design is also nice.
Because they are so far to the outside, it's fine to sit down with your phone in the back pocket.
There's no worry about it falling out, which I find quite convenient.

If you cinch the large tucks inward.

It's an excellent piece that creates a clean silhouette.
Whether you wear it neatly or rough, it's just incredibly versatile.
I honestly wonder if there is any other work pant that can surpass this one.
It truly is a masterpiece.
This setup has been finished with a balance that is easy to incorporate into daily life while retaining the ruggedness of workwear.
The more you wear it, the more its character changes, growing into a piece that is uniquely yours.
It's a garment you'll want to reach for without hesitation, whether on workdays or holidays.
Please be sure to add it to your 26AW wardrobe.
